Miomir Kecmanović, the twenty one year old from Serbia, has a best ranking of no.39 in the world. When he wanted to pick someone to coach him, he went for the player he loved watching as a kid. And Kecmanović wrote to Nalbandian personally. He explained to Nalbandian about his plans, and his ambitions. All that effort finally bore fruit as David Nalbandian joined Miomir Kecmanović’s coaching team.

They have started working during the Cordoba Open. And will hope to test their new partnership further at the Latin American Clay court season. In Miomir Kecmanović’s own words,  “It means a lot to me to have David with me now. He was one of the best of his generation and his experience could really help me a lot,” Kecmanović told ATPTour.com after their first training session together.
Miomir Kecmanović continued “I hope to be able to work with him a lot. He’s already mentioned some ideas to me. I hope to go far this week, but it’s important to learn, to be able to progress and we’ll gradually change and the results will take care of themselves.”
