GTA 5 Summer DLC: Speculations and what to expect

Last Month, Rockstar released a newswire post hinting towards the 2021 Summer DLC. It confirmed new customization options for vehicles, new races, and missions involving cars. Rockstar claims that the new update will bring back car culture into the streets of Los Santos with a whole new underground market for stolen vehicles.

Other than this we almost have no information about the new Summer DLC. We don’t know what will it be called, the new content or anything else, the reason being the silence of Rockstar Games. The developer is infamous for giving out almost no information about anything new unless it is too late. We don’t even have the teaser yet which is usually out by this point in time.

It won’t however, be surprising if the Summer DLC lacked content. This has been the norm over the years, where the first DLC of the year has lesser content and is smaller when compared to the second one of the year. Also, Rockstar is channelling more of its focus towards the release of the Expanded and Enhanced version of GTA 5 for the PS5 and the Xbox Series S and X consoles.

There have been rumours about a new special vehicle that would serve as the nerve centre for the update, not unlike the Kosatka Submarine which had to be purchased in order to start the Cayo Perico Heist. Earlier this month, Rockstar also released new stunt races and 7 new deadline modes released yesterday as a part of the event week which all seem to hint towards the new update relating to the Car Culture mentioned earlier. Expectations are, that this update is going to be very similar to the Los Santos Summer Special Update which we received in August of 2020.

Overall, we still don’t know anything about this update, except the fact that it is somehow related to cars. Rockstar has been very vague about the details of the update. A teaser is expected to release sometime soon in which we will receive more info on the Summer DLC for GTA.
