The GTA series has been the most inspiring when it comes to the open-world genre of video games. GTA 5 has broken multiple records and continues to earn money for Rockstar Games despite its age. Fans, however, want a change at this point and continue to demand Rockstar Games to release the next instalment in the GTA series. Rockstar themselves have remained mum but this has not stopped insiders and leakers from trying to fish out new information about GTA 6. A famous leaker Tom Henderson, recently revealed some new details. This is the same leaker who leaked genuine information about Call of Duty and Battlefield 2042 weeks before the trailer even came out.
GTA 6 Leaks: new locations, evolving map and more:
There have been tons of GTA 6 rumours in the past revealing all sorts of different details, however, the most common ones we have seen are the location and the existence of a female character. Starting off, Henderson claims that GTA 6 is still in early development and it will be a good 3-4 years before it sees the light of day. In the meantime, GTA 5 will continue to receive updates and DLCs. The Expanded and Enhanced version of GTA 5 is also yet to release which will ensure to keep Rockstar going until they release GTA 6.
Vice City is believed to be the location of the GTA 6 map(surprise, surprise). This makes the most sense as all maps except Vice City have been remastered for the HD universe. The setting, however, contrary to what we have got in the past is not the 80s but a more modern one. This is believed to give Rockstar more scope to add both retro as well as modern environments, vehicles and more. Henderson also revealed that the map is an evolving one. This mean, the map will start off small, and then continue to expand over the years through updates and DLCs. This also gives scope to Rockstar to be creative and add whatever they want to the map.
Henderson also revealed some other important details. He confirmed the existence of multiple protagonists, including a female protagonist. Finally, he revealed that Rockstar will take their time to release GTA 6 and we may have to make do with GTA 5 for few more years. This is done to avoid the worrying problem of crunch which is the employees putting in extra time into development which is not specified in their job description. This had also been a serious problem in the past with GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
It is important to note that though these leaks seem credible, it must be taken with a grain of salt. Rockstar Games are usually very secretive about their data and usually, most of these leaks are debunked. It is exciting however, to receive any news about the long awaited GTA 6.
