Brace up gamers! The Halo 3 for PC will be up for release on July 14. To date, it’s only been fitted-out for consoles but that will be changing the coming week. It completes the next installment in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. 343 Industries has announced that the game will go live at 10 am Pacific Time.
PC gamers will be able to purchase the final chapter in the original trilogy via Steam and Microsoft Store. With the Xbox Game Pass for PC, you will be able to play it for free with over 100 more high-quality games as a PC subscription service. Once publicly released, it will hitch with Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo: Reach in the PC platform. The collection will be delivered over time by 343 Industries which will then be joined with Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 later in 2020.
To look back, the first-person shooter game was officially released in 2007 by Bungie for the Xbox 360 console. In the same year, it became the best selling video game in the US which grossed USS170 million on the first day of release and US$300 in its first week. It also got a hold of the Edge Award For Interactive Innovation in August 2008 and as one of the titles in the book 1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die. The game was hailed by critics due to its prominent feature, the Multiplayer mode.
More exciting news is coming! 343 Industries will unveil the next-gen Halo Infinite game in Microsoft’s Xbox Game Studios event alongside other first-party next-gen games on July 23rd. Stay tuned!
