The classic hitter has been a part of the IPL since its inception in 2008. Initially featuring for two years for Delhi Capitals (Delhi Daredevils) then, de Villiers has been featuring for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) since 2011. With the bat, he has notched a high score close to 133 runs in the cash-rich-league.
Having being retained for 11 crores by RCB ahead of the IPL 2021 Auction, AB de Villiers has become the first overseas player to join 100 Cr IPL salary club.
