We are talking about Jamaican Cricketer Andre Dwayne Russell popularly known as The Big Fish or DreRuss, He has played in more than 300 Twenty20 matches for a range of sides in leagues, throughout the world. No total is beyond him neither is any game lost until he’s at the crease.

It’s been more than 17 years since T20 cricket started and only four players have a strike-rate of more than 160 and only one in the 170+ category, and that is Russell. He has a strike-rate of 171.29 after 321 T20 games which is a mind-boggling stat.

KKR chased down 206 with five deliveries to spare.

88* off 36 Deliveries vs Chennai Super Kings

It was against Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk in 2018 where Russell had reached 88 from only 36 balls including 11 sixes and a single four & track KKR from 89/5 in 9.6 to 202/6. When it comes to finishing, Russell is one of the most powerful hitters that one would have seen.

Asked to bat first, KKR were struggling at 61/5 when Russell joined captain Karthik at the crease. The pair then added 96 in just six overs with Russell plummeting the Delhi bowlers all around the park for his knock of 62 from only 28 balls, which included six maximums and four boundaries.The big West Indian then came back with the ball and struck in his first over by dismissing Shreyas Iyer (43). KKR, however, went on to lost the game in the super over with Russell failing to repeat his heroics in the super over against Kagiso Rabada.

Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders collided at the MCA Stadium in Pune in the 14th match of the 8th edition of the IPL. Russell went all out on the KXIP bowling attack and scored 66 runs off 36 balls at a strike rate of 183.33, smashing 9 fours and 2 sixes. KKR won the match by 6 wickets to collect two points from the match.
