Tottenham Hotspur defeated Leicester City 3-0 at home. Tottenham’s hopes of playing European Football are still alive with team’s 3 victory in a row . However Leicester’s chance of playing Champions league football might be in jeopardy due to significant dropping of points. Spurs won the match with 2 amazing goals from Harry Kane and own goal from the foxes in the first half.

Leicester gifted spurs the lead in the form of an own goal from James Justin’s. A deflection that came from a Son Heung-min’s right-footed shot. Although Leicester had more shots and possession per 90 but Tottenham ran out as eventual winners. Leicester city looked pretty comfortable during the match but Hugo Lorris denied the foxes from scoring. Leicester City have a chance of dropping out of the Champions league spot if they continue their current form.

Tottenham currently sit 6th in the Premier league table with a two point lead over Wolves. It is all to play for teams aiming to play European football next season.

Kane is back

This is Harry’s second brace in a week. The striker looks comfortable and has regained his golden touch despite injury blows throughout the season. Kane’s first goal of the brace came from a well orchestrated counter attack from Leciester City corner in Tottenham’s halve. Kane scored from a left footed shot with a through ball from Lucas Moura in the 37th minute.

However for his second, Harry Kane curled one past Kasper Schmeichel in the 40th minute to give Tottenham a 3-0 lead. Harry’s hat-trick goal was ruled offside in the second half.

Despite an injury plagued season Harry Kane is doing his level best to finish the season on a high. However Leicester city and Tottenham has lot of catching up to do to guarantee themselves European footballing action next season. Leciester city’s Jamie currently sits on top spot for Premier league’s top scorer of the season with 23 goals.
