Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza named Roger Federer ‘a genius’ aond remembers the time when she played with him in a mixed doubles match.
The 6 times doubles Grand Slam winner said that it was an honour to share the court with the Swiss maestro as they played mixed doubles at the IPTL Delhi in 2014.
Mirza also chatted about the happiness that she gets played with the 20 times Grand Slam winner Roger Federer on an Instagram live session with Indian football team skipper Sunil Chhetri that, “I have had the privilege of playing with Roger Federer. He is a freak, a genius. I had the best seat in the house that day.”
Roger Federer was among first to ask about the problem as a complaint against Mirza was filed for disrespecting the Indian flag in 2008 and also abundance when she attained to Australian Open in Melbourne.
“He also surprised me many months later with a message. He was concerned when Mumbai was tragically struck by terrorist attacks on November 26, 2008,” one extract from her book reads.
“I think this is what makes Roger very, very special. Apart from being a legend, a genius and, the greatest ever exponent of his craft. He remains warm, caring, accessible, untouched by fame, and a thorough gentleman,” she added.
