Vikrant Massey has been in the news recently thanks to his phenomenal work in the Hindi film, 12th Fail. He portrayed Manoj Kumar Sharma, an IPS Officer who worked his way from poverty to clearing the UPSC exam.

He recently appeared on the show Unfiltered by Samdish. The two began talking about cricket and Massey revealed that Rohit Sharma was his favorite player. It has also caused fights between him and his friends due to this.

When asked who his friends believed were better than Sharma, he said the most obvious player was Virat Kohli. When asked if his friends claimed KL Rahul was better than the Indian captain, Massey said it was possible. 

No one has said that, but he could be right? He’s world class.

Massey is a huge cricket fan, and has often expressed his opinions on the sport on his X handle. He was once slammed by fans for an opinion of his during the 2021 India tour of South Africa.

During India’s tour of South Africa, things got heated during the 3rd Test. After a DRS call didn’t go their way, the Indian Team lost their cool. They began trash talking the broadcasters over the stump mic, accusing them of cheating and manipulating the hawkeye.

Vikrant Massey went on X and apologized to the South African team, embarrassed by the Indian team’s “Shrill Box-office antics”. Fans did not spare the actor, calling him out for not supporting the team. They further asked the actor if they actually needed his opinion.

Vikrant Massey has been acting since 2007, starring in TV shows like Dharma Veer and Balika Vadhu. He got his break in movies in 2013, starring in Lootera, but got his big break with the web series Mirzapur. Since then he has become a household name. He won the Filmfare Best Actor (Critics) for his performance in 12th Fail.
