The NASCAR community is in chaos over the charter lawsuit. The testimonies from the likes of Michael Jordan, Denny Hamlin, Bob Jenkins and Heather Gibbs making are things wild every day. The emotional statements from the latter are the main point of discussion in the community, as she revealed the toxicity teams experienced before signing the new charter deal.

Heather Gibbs, the co-owner of JGR, the daughter-in-law of Joe Gibbs and mother of Ty Gibbs was in the stands on day five. She was emotional recalling the sacrifices his late husband and brother-in-law made for the team as well as their legacy. It was a touching testimony that the 23XI-FRM lawyers can bet will resonate with the jury.

Everything’s going so fast. That’s the legacy of Coy. That’s the legacy of J.D. … If we don’t take the payout they are offering, we can’t keep going. … It’s like you have a gun to your head. If you don’t sign it … everything is gone.

Heather Gibbs said as reported by Bob Pockrass.

In the same discussion she revealed that Joe Gibbs pleaded with the NASCAR owner Jim France over the deal and the sudden deadline they were given. He knew the revenue sharing would hurt them big time in the coming years and affect their family legacy.  But France refused listen and supposedly told them he doesn’t care about the team’s feelings.

On his latest appearance in Kenny Wallace’s YouTube channel, former racer Rick Mast shared the brutal reality about the sport. I just don’t think our sport can withstand such a long period of appeals. We’re going to get beaten up too much. I just don’t know about that. All right. So, that covers the NASCAR side.

Rick Mast said.

He pointed out that if the team wins the lawsuit this might be a death sentence for the sport as they will instantly file an appeal. It will be more dramatic and aggressive, that compared the team’s approach if they fail the lawsuit.

If the race teams win, barring an appeal, which I’m telling you right now, as soon as that thing happens, NASCAR will try to appeal this, right? And I’ll tell you why. Because to NASCAR, this is a death sentence.

Rick Mast added.

The comments from the ex-racer seems rational and on point regarding the case getting dragged in the legal system for years. Everyone involved in the sport knows the best result for the dram will be a settlement outside the court, with both sides making concessions. But as of now the signs shows a no sign of something like this happening.
