Especially in shooting games such as Valorant, a high ping can mean the difference between life and death, even if you started shooting first. Thus, it is essential to test your ping in Valorant. This is so you can fix it, if needed, before hopping into a match.

There are also times when you may be facing an unstable internet connection. It is best to keep an eye on your ping in Valorant in such situations. You may also face certain bugs and glitches in your game occasionally. Knowing your ping will help you identify whether you are facing these because of poor internet or an inherent issue in the game.

For those unaware, Ping, in online gaming, refers to the network latency between a player’s computer and the game server. Ping is measured in milliseconds (ms) and represents the time taken for data to travel from your computer to the server and back. A lower ping indicates a faster connection. Your displayed ping in Valorant will tell you about the latency between your device and your connected Riot Games server.
