Zlatan Ibrahimovic says that he feels Milan could have won the scudetto if he was available from the start. His comments came after a 4-2 win over current leaders Juventus. Milan are in a good form currently having beaten the top 2 sides Lazio and Juventus after the restart.
Ibrahimovic returned to Milan last summer, the place where he won the scudetto in 2011. He scored a penalty in the 4-2 win against Juve last night. The Swedish striker has scored 6 goals this term in the Serie A. The win against Juve, helped Milan to continue their fight towards a European place.
After the match, in a classic Ibrahimovic way, the striker said, “If I was here from the beginning of the season, we would have won the Scudetto! I am president, coach, and player, but they only pay me as a footballer.
Ibrahimovic’s future at Milan is also in doubt after growing concerns regarding the change in management. Ibra said that it may have been the last time that he played at the San Siro. “There is still a month, so let’s see. There are things we cannot control. Playing without fans is a pity, a strange situation. We do our job, we are professionals. It could have been the last time they have seen me live in San Siro.
Ibrahimovic would like to end his second stint with Milan on a positive note as they look to qualify for Europe. In his first stint with the club, Zlatan scored 56 goals in 85 appearances in the year 2011-12.
