As reported, the 20-time Grand Slam champion said, “I loved football. It is the sport that I played in the street with my friends, when I was a child. I really liked playing in a team and for a long time, I preferred football to tennis.”

“I played both sports at the same time, I didn’t know which one to choose until I became the number one tennis player in my category. I had the chance to turn professional when I was 16. And in football, despite my best efforts, I was not the best.”
