Djokovic managed to tame Zverev easily despite the German roaring back in the second set. In an on-court interview, Djokovic expressed his views after the match.

“I felt great. I managed to serve well in the important moments. Contrary to the last match against Daniil, I managed to find the right shots at the right time,” Djokovic said.

Djokovic’s fate hanged in the balance after losing to Medvedev in straight sets. However, he fought back hard and looked sharp against Zverev to book his spot in the semis.

The Serb goes on to comment on his opponent’s performance saying, “Sascha, I have tremendous respect for him. A great player with a huge serve. Sometimes, you have to pick your side, block and hope you can be in the exchanges with the rallies. I think it was anybody’s game for most of the match.”

Zverev bows out of the tournament after registering a solitary win.
