I think 2020 is practically lost, Rafael Nadal on Tennis return

On Tuesday, Rafael Nadal stated that he does not expect tennis to return until 2021, due to the coronavirus outbreak, which has decimated much of this year’s calendar. Due to the coronavirus pandemic situation, all the sports events have either been postponed or cancelled.

He hopes that they can return before the end of the year but unfortunately, he doesn’t think so.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, The cancellation of Wimbledon and the postponement of the French which will be held in September. While the US Open is schedule to take place in late August and it’s not clear yet.

However, Nadal said that he had practically written off the remainder of the year and he was looking to the Australian Open in January 2021 as the next tournament he will play.

“I would sign up to being ready for 2021, I am more worried about the Australian Open than what occurs at the end of this year. I think 2020 is practically lost. I hope we can start up again next year, I really hope that’s the case.” the Spaniard added.
