Conor’s arch-nemesis Khabib Nurmagomedov who is 29-0 on his professional record recently announced his retirement from the UFC. Khabib completely dominated Conor in their first fight and UFC is trying to book them for the rematch ever since.

Conor has been giving all kinds of excuses for his loss against Khabib and he just simply won’t stop calling him out. In his recent interview with Ariel Helwani, he even called him a coward.

He said “I think he’s afraid to fight me, that’s for damn sure, and I don’t blame him. I fought the best of him on that night; he fought the worst of me on that night. He knows it, I know it, and his team knows it. I have the answer to destroy that man. He can pull the wool over people’s eyes for only so long. It is what it is.”

McGregor believes Khabib is not a true fighter

McGregor said that Khabib’s retirement doesn’t makes any sense to him, not only is he ducking the rematch with McGregor but he is also avoiding a long list of potential challengers.

When asked about this Conor said “Yes, I would say so. I think his hand was shown. He’s not a true fighter in my opinion. How could you walk away? There are so many great fights to be had. Think of the Diazes, the Fergusons, there’s so many wild fights, the Oliveiras, the rematch against me. I think it’s just preposterous to walk away. Not only did he sh*t on the bus, I think he pissed on the chips also. I think he showed his hand.
