‘The Korean Zombie’, Chan Sung Jung is dying to get back in to the octagon. But the Korean MMA fighter just can’t seem to schedule a fight with a worthy opponent. In a recent YouTube video, Sung Jung spoke about his disappointment with the promotion.

Korean Zombie last fought in the UFC last October against Brian Ortega. Chan lost the bout via unanimous decision at the fight night. Chan is trying hard to climb up the ranks in the featherweight division.

The top-ranked fighter stated in the video that there has been a lot of miscommunications between his team and the UFC. The Korean thought that he would be fighting Arnold Allen or Sodiq Yusuff. Jung is left alone in the roster with no matchups. “All of the fighters that the UFC has given me to fight are now fighting each other,” Jung said.

“The UFC won’t allow me to fight anyone outside of the top-10. The UFC chose three fighters that I can fight and I chose another three from the top-10. In a surprising turn of events, all six of those fighters are now fighting each other. This means I’ll have to wait for even more to fight.”

“To be honest, I’m fine with anyone,” says the Korean Zombie on fighting in the lightweight division

Chan Sung Jung has a record of 16-6-0 in his pro-MMA career. The fighter has been inactive as the organization has not set him up with any fighters so far. The fighter also considered moving up a weight division to see if he could fight anyone.

“Since I had nothing scheduled as a featherweight fighter, I thought moving to the lightweight division wouldn’t be so bad. At least I would be doing something, but sadly, that didn’t work out either.” The fighter has a brink of hope since Dan Ige has called him out to fight after he beat Gavin Tucker.

“I can just fight Dan Ige [if he beats Gavin Tucker],” Jung said. “It looks like the UFC is going to make me fight someone in the top-10. To be honest, I’m fine with anyone, but we’ll see what happens.”
