When asked upon who Verstappen would be supporting if he wasn’t a part of Formula 1, the ace Red Bull driver responded by taking the name of Fernando Alonso. The duo has been publicly witnessed in praising one another and it is no surprise to any race fan that even Alonso back Verstappen to end Mercedes’ reign.

Safe to say it seems as though Max Verstappen is a member of the Fernando Alonso fan club with him responding to a young F1 supporter’s question during Thursday’s driver press conferences over who he would follow if he was not in the sport himself.

Having said that, Verstappen is not alone in the Alonso appreciation society, either, with Lance Stroll of Aston Martin sat alongside him and saying the same thing about the Spaniard.
