Israel Adesanya is the undefeated champion in UFC with a record of 20-0-0. The Nigerian middleweight champion is fighting against Jan Blachowicz for the UFC light heavyweight title. Jan is the most threatening fighter in the division holding the belt. But Israel doesn’t seem too frightened by Jan.

‘The Stylebender’ will be facing the 205-pound monster Jan Blachowicz for the light heavyweight title at UFC 259 on March 6. Critics and UFC fans believe that this fight won’t be a cakewalk for the middleweight champion. However, Israel Adesanya doesn’t feel the same way about Jan. Adesanya feels Jan being bigger than him in size doesn’t give his opponent an edge over him.

While talking about the fight in a recent interview with Combat TV, Israel said, “Nah, no higher than- I’ve had harder fights, to be honest,” regardtoJan being the toughest opponent. “Even in middleweight, so. I don’t know.

On the threat meter, out of ten, I’ll give him – he’s a solid competitor – so maybe like a seven. A seven-point-five, yeah, that’s an honest score, I’d give him that. There’re certain things I’m worried about, but yeah, just another guy, man. Just another day.”

The Stylebender is coming off a win against Paulo Costa who he knocked out in the second round. His light heavyweight opponent on the other hand is coming from a knockout win against Dominick Reyes. Both the fighters seemed to be equally poised at this moment.

Israel Adesanya has achieved spectacular feats in his career as a UFC fighter and there’s no questioning that. Critics and fans rate him as one of the deadliest strikers in the game. He has successfully defended his middleweight title and now looks to conquer another division.

The Nigerian champion talks about wanting to be the greatest of all time and seeks to fight the legendary Jon Jones. Adesanya and Jones have had a rivalry over the years and they both wish to fight each other. With him competing for the light heavyweight title against Jan, he might be up for the discussion of “The GOAT” if he wins it.
