Roger Federer has been in Dubai for a few weeks now, preparing himself for the hard court season after the Australian Open 2021. The Swiss has already withdrawn from the Australian Open owing to strict quarantine protocols. In addition, Federer is still not close to 100% match fitness which was another reason for his withdrawal. The Swiss’ last professional match came against Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open 2020 in the semifinals.
