India Tour of Australia : Australia announces ODI and T20 squad, Moises Henriques returns as Cameron Green receives first call up

Cameron Green

Cricket Australia announced an 18 man squad for the ODI and T20 series against India late next month. Veteran Moises Henriques returned to the side on the back of a fabulous BBL season with the Sydney Sixers while Mitch Marsh missed out due injury. Marsh picked an ankle injury in his first game of IPL 2020.
But the big news is the inclusion of young allrounder Cameron Green. Green had been knocking at the door of the national side for quite some time now with some great performances in the domestic circuit. The Western Australia allrounder has 1,097 first-class runs and 28 wickets in his short career along with 167 List A runs.
An opportunity to build on his experience

Australian national selector Trevor Hohns is mighty impressed with Green’s domestic record. Hohns deems the inclusion a perfect opportunity to build his experience on the big stage. It would be interesting to see how the youngster performs on the big stage coming off from a timid BBL season where scored only 106 runs at an average of 15.14.
“Similarly, Cameron’s domestic form has been outstanding and he has carried it through for Western Australia this summer. As a potential player of the future this is an opportunity for him to be part of the squad and build on his experience,” Hohns told Cricket Australia.
The World’s No. 1 T20 side, Australia is coming off a big series win against England. And they will do their best to conquer their first full series of the summer which spans from November 27, 2020 till January 19, 2021. It is indeed going to be a great contest between two of the best sides of the World.
