India ended the day on 62/2 still trailing by 307 runs after Australia were bowled out for 369. The hosts added on to their overnight score of 274 with some handy contributions down the order. In reply, India lost opener Shubman Gill early and then a loose shot saw the end of a well-set Rohit Sharma to ensure Australia ended the day ahead.

‘Best dress up award’ – ICC

During the first session of the second day’s play, the camera panned to a section of the crowd and to everyone’s surprise, the entire section consisted of people dressed as ‘stormtroopers’ – the villainous group of soldiers from Star Wars. Their leader and the famed antagonist of the saga, Darth Vader was also seen in the midst of the crowd.

There was a great amount of cheers and excitement as the camera panned to the dressed-up fans. A picture of the same has gone viral after the official Twitter handle of the ICC posted it and captioned it, “The best dress up award on day two goes to.”
