India’s man of steel, Cheteshwar Pujara added yet another promising knock to his bag of resilience. On Day 5 of Test 4 in Brisbane, he played defining knock of 56 runs, facing  211 balls before Pat Cummins dismissed him in a leg-before-wicket incident.

Pujara walked early on the pitch today after Rohit Sharma’s was dismissed. He supported well with the young Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant later. He was hit and injured a couple of times in his batting, but his fighting spirit on the pitch remained undeterred.

Though he couldn’t get a ton in this edition of the Border-Gavaskar series but gave India the thrust whenever needed. He was the highest run-scorer for India during the 208-19 edition of Border-Gavaskar series.
