Steve Smith made a much-expected comeback in the third Test against India in Sydney. In his aggressive innings, he smashed 113 runs with a strike rate of 58 almost.
Smith had accustomed himself to the pitch and even understood the Indian bowlers well. Almost all bowling traps tried at him failed. Fortunately, in a rush of extra runs, he took a risky run and was run out by a direct throw of Ravindra Jadeja.
Truly, the New Year had some good offering for Steve Smith. Smith, who had scored single-digit scores in the first two Test matches against India, failed to register a century in 2020. However, he has washed off all the previous sufferings and has come up strong now.
Following the run-out, Ravindra Jadeja hogged the limelight yet again. The former who shone bright in the white ball games earlier is now shaping even better as a Test player. During the second Test at MCG, he played defining innings besides hitting a fifty. Even in Sydney’s ongoing third Test, he has taken four wickets and made an excellent runout.
Twitter stormed praising Jadeja.
