The incident happened during the 56th over of Australia’s second innings. Pant was heard telling the bowler, off-spinner Washington Sundar, to spin a web around the batsmen and started singing “Spiderman Spiderman”. The stump microphone captured the moment, the video of which is going viral on social media now.

Amazon Prime Video, the popular OTT website, took no time to encash the hilarious cricketing incident. Prime was quick to suggest some Spiderman movies that are available on the platform to Rishabh Pant and his fans.

Not many days ago, Pant garnered the attention for his chirping that he does behind the stumps. He was then trolled and was called a ‘chatterbox.’

Besides, his goggles even became the hot-button issue a day before yesterday, where Australian commentators- Shane Warne and Kerry O’ Keefe mocked Pant’s fluorescent rimmed-goggles. They ridiculed him saying that he could ‘weld’ in those glasses.

However, this young power-hitter played a fantastic knock and kept India alive in an already lost match in Sydney. On Day 5 of the third Test, he had smashed 97 runs in India’s second innings, following which the match drew.
