India vs England 2021: WATCH – ‘Yaha se Ghumega Toh Ye Jhumegaa’ – Rishabh Pant comes up with hilarious one-liner to motivate Axar Patel
Rishabh Pant is known for his antics behind the stumps. In a bid to encourage his bowlers, the Indian wicketkeeper continuously feeds them with encouraging words. And he often hits the news for his hilarious chirps behind the stumps. The second Test in Chennai was another game where Pant came up with a unique on-liner to motivate the bowler. And it was Axar Patel who was on the receiving end of it this time.
Ollie Pope, who was then new to the crease, was seen struggling to read Axar’s spin on the day two Chepauk wicket. It was then that Pant urged Axar, the debutant, to continue bowling on the same spot. He said, “Yaha se Ghumega Toh Ye Jhumegaa (If it spins from there, he will be bamboozled)”.
Ravichandran Ashwin removes Ben Stokes with a peach
On the other hand, Ravichandran Ashwin picked up his third wicket match in the very next over. He sent the dangerous Ben Stokes packing with a peach of a delivery. The ball drifted in before spinning away to hit Stokes’ off stump. The ball showed how good Ashwin is in spin-friendly conditions while Stokes was very disappointed upon his dismissal. The wicket took Ashwin even closer to the 400 wicket mark in his illustrious Test career.
With the departure of Stokes, the onus is now on emerging batsman Ben Foakes and Moeen Ali to stable the ship. As of now, it seems impossible for England to take a first-innings lead. With the pitch perfectly poised to suit the hosts, England will be looking to hang in there as long as possible. And cut down India’s first-innings lead to the lowest possible. Given Foakes’ heroics in Sri Lanka in his debut series, he is the only glimmer of hope the visitors have now.
