Germanpreet Singh from Gurdaspur, Punjab celebrates his 24th birthday today on 24th of June. Germanpreet plays for Chennaiyin F.C. in the Indian Super League.
The Punjab’s own started his career at Dempo S.C. in the Hero I-League and made 17 appearances since his debut on 27 January in 2015 against Sporting Goa. He came on as a 5th-minute substitute for Peter Carvalho as Dempo won 3–0. He scored his first senior goal against Royal Wahingdoh in his 2nd appearance of his career for the Dempo side. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
The 24-year old central midfielder then signed for Minerva Punjab on a 3-year contract in 2017. He played for the Punjab team colours in 11 of their games.
In August of the year 2016, he made his debut for his national team. He was included in the 23-player squad for the AFC Asian Cup 2019. He played only one match in the entire completion by coming as a substitute in the game in which India thrashed Thailand by 4-1.
