Indian squad for Davis Cup World Group qualifiers tie against Croatia was announced today. The AITA has picked Rohit Rajpal as non playing captain. While Leander Paes played in last tie against Pakistan, is playing his last season, was retained in squad.
Indian’s top three singles player Prajnesh Gunnewaran, Sumit Nagal and Ramkumar Ramanathan are in the six men squad. While AITA selection committee has chose three double’s players for the tie that include Rohan Bopanna, Divij Sharan and Leander Paes.
Bopanna and Divij had not played against Pakistan in Nur Sultan. But now they are in team in place of Nedunchezhiyan and Purva Raja.
Indian is schedule to play against Croatia on March 6 and 7. Croatia is 2018 winners and Indian team will face tough challenge.
