India’s current XI vs retired XI; Irfan Pathan suggests farewell game on Dhoni retirement

Amid growing requests for arranging a farewell match for MS Dhoni all over social media. Former Indian pace suggests a charity cum farewell match between retired players and the current Indian side.

Irfan Pathan also released his retired XI’s line up which included Gautam Gambhir, Virendra Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, Irfan Pathan, Ajit Agarkar, Pragyan Ojha and Zaheer Khan.

Earlier, Jharkhand’s CM Hemant Soren reacted to the news of Dhoni’s retirement from international cricket by appealing to the BCCI to organise a farewell match for the player. 

Dhoni remains to be the only captain in the history of the sport to win all 3 ICC Trophies. Dhoni’s presence has been impeccable for India. Having turned up in350 ODIs, 90 Tests and 98 T20 Internationals, Dhoni has registered many individual records against his name. 

Having said all that, Indian cricketers would return to the international stage post the IPL. They would be travelling to Australia for a long tour after a break of more than 7 months.  

Well before that, who wouldn’t want to witness a match between the retired XI and current XI.
