All India Football Federation today organised a webinar for 17 Golden Baby League Operators. The Webinar was about the preview of the Golden Baby Leagues Handbook for the 2020-21 season.
The Golden Baby Leagues caters to the age group from U-6 To U-12. Last year leagues were conducted in 21 states with 100 and more operators. In the mentioned categories, 34500 registered players took part.
Mr. Sunando Dhar, the CEO of the league said, “AIFF started the Baby League project two years back and in this short span the progress we have seen is promising. We want to keep moving forward and keep expanding across the country. Each one of your roles is important in spreading the love of the game in players aged 6-12.”
The Golden Baby League is an ideal platform to scout talents. AIFF’s initiative will help bring out more talents from grassroots. “The Baby League will go hand-in-hand with AIFF youth leagues structure already in place beginning from Hero Sub Junior League,” Dhar added in the webinar.
The AIFF organised this webinar to understand the problems of the operators. The vision for the coming year was also discussed. “We wanted to make you aware of the changes in the rules and regulations in order to help you plan for the future. We hope to have another fantastic season. Thank you again for your contribution to the development of Indian football,” Sunando Dhar added.
