Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are in massive trouble ahead of the IPL 2020. On Friday (August 28), CSK members have tested positive for novel coronavirus. Their isolation period also gets extended as they were ready to start their practicing sessions from September 1st.

To plunge more misery, CSK vice-captain Suresh Raina has pulled out of the IPL 2020. He was a part of CSK’s five-day camp in Chennai before flying to UAE on August 21.

As of now, CSK would be despairing to unearth the replacement for Raina as it going to be tough but as we all know Indian cricket doesn’t have a scarcity in talent.

Manoj Tiwary

Manoj Tiwary has quite a meaningful amount of potential and experience in the IPL. He played his first IPL in 2008. But in the last two editions, he hasn’t found any buyer in the auction. He last represented Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the year 2018.

Tiwary can be a considerable choice for CSK as he played alongside MS Dhoni in the Rising Pune Supergiants.

The 34-year-old also showed his classy form in the 2019-20 Ranji Trophy. Tiwary scored his maiden first-class triple century.

I talk about his IPL career, Tiwary has scored 1695 runs in 98 matches with a generous strike rate of 116.98. He also has seven half-centuries to his name.

Yusuf Pathan

Yusuf Pathan debuted in the 2008 IPL season representing Rajasthan Royals (RR). However, after a couple of seasons, the right-hander was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Pathan is well known for some of his power-hitting performances in the IPL.

Meanwhile, in 2018, KKR also let him go and franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) picked him in the auction. But SRH didn’t continue with him after two seasons.

In his IPL career, the 37-year-old has scored 3204 runs in 174 matches with the strike rate of 142.97. He also has one ton and 13 half-centuries to his name. Pathan also picked 42 wickets with an economy rate of 7.4 in his IPL career.

Rohan Kadam

Rohan Kadam

Rohan Kadam is an upcoming batting star, he made his T20 debut in the 2019 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In 20 T20s so far, Kadam has scored 794 runs with an excellent average of 49.26 and also eight half-centuries to his name.

In the 2020 IPL auction, the 26-year-old was listed at a base price of Rs. 20 lakhs, but he hasn’t found any buyer.

As of now, their situation where CSK is finding a replacement, Kadam can probably be the one as he also a top-order batsman. Also, he can be proved as assets for CSK.
