IPL 2020: BCCI announces CRED as official partner

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is set to begin in UAE from 19th September. The Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) has announced Cred as an official partner for IPL 2020.
With this, BCCI has signed the 3 official partners for IPL 2020. Unacademy and CRED will be the platforms representing the 13th IPL season with Dream11 as the title sponsor.
The BCCI announced this deal on the social networking platform Twitter on Tuesday. “BCCI announces CRED as Official Partner for IPL #Dream11IPL”, the statement read.
CRED is a Bengaluru based credit card bill payment platform. It becomes the latest startup company to sign a deal with the BCCI. Previously Paytm, BYJUs, and recently on board Unacademy were some of the names.
Last week another Bengaluru based startup company Unacademy had signed in as an official partner for 3 years.
Sourav Ganguly lauds BCCI and team
BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has appreciated the efforts of BCCI after completing the deal. He took to Twitter and wrote,” Well done BCCI.. in this tuff market situation”
However, the BCCI or CRED haven’t disclosed the fee agreed by the two sides after confirming the deal. Earlier Dream11 had replaced the Chinese mobile company Vivo as the title sponsor of IPL.
IPL 2020 was scheduled to begin on March 29 but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
