With less than two weeks to go, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finally announced the schedule for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). IPL 2020 will take place between September 19 and November 10 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). 

Defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will lock horns against last year’s runner-ups Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the season opener. Sheikh Zayed Stadium of Abu Dhabi will host this opening game.

IPL 2020 is a 53-day long tournament, which consists of 56 league matches and four knockout games, including the final. Apart from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah are the other two venues of this year’s IPL.
