IPL 2020: ‘He will play matches for India, before the end of 2020,’ says Aakash Chopra on Suryakumar Yadav

Mumbai Indians middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav played yet another brilliant knock in the ongoing edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). During MI’s clash against Delhi Capitals, Yadav smashed 53 runs off just 32 deliveries on a pitch that troubled most of the batsmen. Moreover, the opposition had quality bowlers with the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje and Ravi Ashwin.
Following this game, former cricketer-turned expert Aakash Chopra also hailed the 30-year old for his magnificent batting performance. Chopra said that his inning was the game-changer in the MI-DC clash. He also made a bold statement that Suryakumar Yadav will be a part of the current Indian team before the end of 2020.
“I feel Suryakumar Yadav was the game-changer in the match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. The manner in which he is batting, whether you see his shots over the covers or his flicks or his cut shots,” Chopra said during a video uploaded on his official YouTube channel.
“The icing on the cake with a cherry on top was the flick he played of Rabada’s bowling for a six. My jaw dropped after watching that six. I said that this player should play for India.

“I am saying that before the end of 2020, he will be a part of the Indian team, and I feel he will also play matches for the Indian team. This is a voice that is coming from my heart for this player, and hopefully, that happens,” he added.
Mumbai Indians batting is fearless: Chopra
The 42-year old went on to say the Mumbai Indians have one of the most fearless batting units in this tournament. Citing their carefree batting style, Chopra also appreciated wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock and called him a true match-winner.
“The Mumbai Indians batting is extremely fearless. They are playing in a carefree manner. Rohit got out early, but that was not an issue. What is the sort of batting Quinton de Kock is doing! He showed that he is an absolute match-winner,” Aakash Chopra stated.
