England batsman Kevin Pietersen left for Dubai for broadcasting duties after covering England versus Australia T20 series. Pietersen was commentating in England versus Australia T20 series.

Now he has left for UAE to officiate in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Kevin Pieterson posted on Instagram, “From a bubble in the UK to a bubble in Dubai…! I love that we have cricket back and as always very excited about working on the @iplt20.

Who’s winning? I hope Delhi!

Pietersen has been a part of 3 franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL). They are Delhi Daredevils(DD), Rising Pune Supergiants(RPS), and  Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Pietersen scored 1001 runs in 36 innings in the Indian Premier League.

IPL 2020 begins on 19th September in Abu Dhabi

Indian Premier League season 13 begins on 19 September 2020. The opening match and the finals will be played in Abu Dhabi. The schedule for the playoffs will be released later.

The first match will witness defending Champions Mumbai Indians face against 3 time winner Chennai Super Kings.

All the IPL teams have started training in their allotted time at the stadiums. Chennai Super Kings were the last team to join practice sessions in the UAE. 13 members of the CSK team had tested positive for COVID-19. These included 2 players Ruturaj Gaikwad and Deepak Chahar.

However, all 13 members have recovered to the virus after their 3rd round of testing.
