All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is closing on a unique record in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Jadeja is just 73 runs short of 2000 runs in the Indian Premier League. He has scored 1927 runs at a strike rate of 122.58 in his IPL career so far.
In season 13, Jadeja could become the first player to score 2000 runs and 100 wickets in the Indian Premier League. Jadeja already has 108 wickets to his name in 170 matches.
Chennai Super Kings will play their first game against Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2020 opener. The left-arm spinner from Gujrat is a crucial part of the Chennai Super Kings squad. He is the goto man of MS Dhoni when in need of runs and wickets.
Jadeja’s unique stat in the Indian Premier League

To achieve the unique record in the first game, Ravindra Jadeja will have to do something he hasn’t done in the IPL. Interestingly he hasn’t scored a single half-century in his IPL career.
He is the only player in the Indian Premier League to amass more than 1500 runs without scoring a half-century.
The left-hander is a lower-order batsman for the Chennai Super Kings. This may be one of the reasons why he hasn’t had a big score. His highest individual score is 48.
Jadeja is on the cusp of acheiving this unique record and could do it this season.
Ravindra Jadeja made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals in 2008, where he lifted the IPL trophy. His IPL career has faced a lot of ups and downs in the 12 years, but he had made his name in the international arena.
