Suresh Raina left for India due to personal reasons

Star Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Suresh Raina is set to miss the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Raina withdrew his name from IPL 2020 due to personal reasons and hence, flew back to India.

The official Twitter handle of the CSK (@chennaiIPL) disclosed this news to the public and the media. The tweet also contained a message from CEO KS Viswanathan of the CSK franchise.

“Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of the IPL season,” the CSK CEO KS Viswanathan stated. “Chennai Super Kings offers complete support to Suresh and his family during this time.”

12 CSK members test positive for coronavirus

12 members of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, just weeks before for the upcoming IPL season.

All the members of the Chennai Super Kings who have tested positive for Covid-19 are stable and have been isolated. CSK are following all the safety protocols ordered by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) SOPs.
