DC are looking like a formidable side in the IPL 2020 with 7 wins in 9 matches so far. Rishabh Pant is a very important part of the Delhi Capitals squad. But he is currently sidelined due to a Grade 1 tear sustained in the tournament.

Even though Pant is not playing on the field, he was seen having fun with DC head coach Ricky Ponting. On Saturday, DC defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 5 wickets in Sharjah.

During the second innings when DC were chasing 180 runs target set by CSK, Ricky Ponting spoke to the commentary panel about his strategies in the game. Rishabh Pant came from behind and tried to imitate Ponting as he was speaking, who didn’t realise anything. Marcus Stoinis was also seen with grinning in the background.

DC coach Ricky Ponting shared a glimpse of the light-hearted moment shared in the dugout and said he would get to do an interview peacefully someday. He also tagged the DC team, Rishabh Pant, and Marcus Stoinis after the prank went viral on social media.

Ponting wrote on Twitter,” One day I’ll get to do an interview in peace @DelhiCapitals @RishabhPant17@MStoinis”

DC grinned another win in IPL 2020 against CSK in the last over of the match. Shikhar Dhawan powered DC with his first ton in IPL career and his third consecutive fifty-plus score in the tournament.

With this win, DC are closing in on one of the four most-wanted playoffs spots in IPL 2020. DC have lost just two games in the tournament so far and top the points table with 14 points.
