Ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season, red army Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) started their training sessions in Dubai after completing their mandatory six-day isolation period.

Virat Kohli on Saturday shared some pictures of a training session with his teammates. The RCB skipper also expressed his excitement about coming back to the field after a long time.

Virat took to social media and wrote, “Been 5 months since the last time I stepped onto the field. Felt like 6 days when I got into the nets. The great first session with the boys”.

RCB official Twitter handles also shared a video of Virat, in which he can be seen playing pull shot full of grace.

BCCI puts IPL 2020 schedule on hold

Earlier on Friday, RCB’s official social media handle shares a series of pictures of their players interacting with other teammates and staff.

RCB took to Twitter and wrote, “Good vibes only! The Royal Challengers got together for the first time after their quarantine in Dubai for a team bonding session!”. In one picture, Virat can be seen smiling while kicking a ball while Umesh Yadav spinning a football on his finger.

Evaluating the latest consequence, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to put a hold on the schedule announcement of the upcoming IPL season.

BCCI was expected to release the schedule of 13th edition before the end of this week, deeming the tournament is to begin in weeks.

“Adequate measures are in place to tackle the situation and there is no immediate threat to the tournament. But the announcement of fixtures has been delayed because of this development,” a top BCCI source told the Times of India.
