After the franchises listed out their respective retained and released players on Wednesday, the eight IPL franchises will have 196.6 crores to spend at IPL auctions. In all, the eight IPL franchises retained 139 players at the cost of 483.39 Cr. The IPL franchises released 57 players from the existing squads and will now have 196.6 Crore to spend at the IPL 2021 auctions.

IPL Auction 2021 Updated Remaining Purse:

Chennai Super Kings: Rs 22.9cr

Kings XI Punjab: Rs 53.2cr.

Rajasthan Royals: Rs 34.85 cr.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: Rs 10.75cr

Delhi Capitals: Rs 9cr

Kolkata Knight Riders: Rs 10.85cr

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Rs 35.7cr

Mumbai Indians: 15.35cr

The window to mention the list of retained and released players were available to the franchises till Wednesday.

However, Indian players who don’t have a contract and wish to be a part of the auction will need to fill the player auction agreement and submit it online on February 4 by 5 pm. The originals can be sent by post till February 12.

IPL 2021 Mini-Auction to be held in third week of February

The auctions will be held in the third week of February as per the recent reports. The IPL Governing Council will announce the fresh date of auctions in the next few days. Other than the dates, BCCI is also yet to decide the venue for the IPL auctions.

The officials are also to deliberate on the country host for the fourteenth edition of the IPL.  The same will be considered taking into account the COVID-19 scenario, like the previous IPL edition held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
