Delhi Capitals (DC) notched up a win over Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) yesterday after acing a stiff chase thanks to Shikhar Dhawan‘s 92. Earlier, PBKS had got to a challenging total of 195, riding on Mayank Agarwal‘s explosive knock and KL Rahul‘s patient fifty. Some lusty blows from Deepak Hooda and Shahrukh Khan helped the team’s cause as well.

However, in the chase, Dhawan was in his element as he toyed with the PBKS bowlers and fielders, finding gaps at will. His exemplary knock ensured that by the time he got out, the equation had become very simple. DC then completed the chase in under 19 overs to clinch their second win of the season.

England and Rajasthan Royals (RR) all-rounder Ben Stokes was among those who watched the encounter between DC and PBKS and tweeted about it. Stokes is currently in England after being ruled out of the IPL due to a broken finger. However, he has been watching the matches and providing his opinions on the same. The Englishman took to Twitter yesterday to express his dissatisfaction with a piece of commentary during the match.

Referring to a commentator criticizing a bouncer for it not being over the off-stump, Stokes pointed out that it had indeed been over off-stump. He wrote, ““Commentator: ‘Such a poor bouncer if you want to bowl a bouncer it must be over Off Stump’. REPLAY: bouncer line directly over Off Stump.” Fans have now deduced that he was probably referring to former Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar‘s piece of commentary.
