Amit Mishra had to miss out to accommodate the debutant who has made a name for himself as an excellent talent.

Lalit Yadav

Lalit Yadav is all set to play in his first match for Delhi Capitals (DC) after being handed his debut for the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Rajasthan Royals (RR). The 24-year-old all-rounder has replaced Amit Mishra to add much-needed batting depth to the side as Shimron Hetmyer, a batsman, has given way to their bowling ace Kagiso Rabada. It remains to be seen if the move will work wonders.

Meanwhile, Lalit is well-known in the domestic circuit for his big-hitting ability. He has hit six sixes in an over not once, but twice in the course of his career. He has been one of the more explosive batsmen for his sides and played crucial knocks for his sides. Further, he is more than capable with the ball as well, as a right-arm off-break bowler. DC would thus, be excited at the prospect of seeing him shine.
