ISL : Odisha FC Signs Indian Goalkeeper Kamaljit Singh For Two Years


Odisha FC announced a contract of two years with Indian goalkeeper Kamaljit Singh on Tuesday ahead of the 7th season of the Indian Super League (ISL).

Twenty-four-year-old Kamaljeet has previously played for Hyderabad FC.

Kamaljeet was part of the Indian team that participated in the Kings Cup, Intercontinental Cup and the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Bangladesh last year under the guidance of coach Igor Stimak.

Kamaljeet said, “I am grateful to the club management for showing interest in me. I am looking forward to playing in Bhubaneswar and hopefully will be able to contribute to the team’s cause from the back”.
Prior to playing for FC Pune City (now Hyderabad FC) in the ISL, Kamaljeet was part of the Sporting Club de Goa and Minerva Punjab FC.

The President of Odisha FC Rohan Sharma believe that with the arrival of Kamaljit in the squad he will brings a experience to the team.

He will bring a lot of experience to our goalkeeping position. While he did not have the best of seasons last year, we know the ability Kamaljit possesses,” Rohan Sharma said.
