Roger Federer has been benefited (in a way) due to the Coronavirus Pandemic across the globe as it has kept his record for ‘most no. of Grand Slams’ unbroken for few more months, as Rafael Nadal was about to catch him at French Open 2020.

The Serbian Novak Djokovic would have overtaken Federer’s 310 weeks of being World Number one by October this year but with the postponement of the tour, the rankings also got frozen.

Former US Open finalist ‘Greg Rusedski’ reckons that Federer is done with winning Slams, and Rafa & Novak will resume dominating the sport.

“I think it’s going to be pretty difficult for him to challenge for the Grand Slams when we start again. He will be 39 by then. And winning major titles at that age will be very tough,” he told Tennis365 in an exclusive interview.

“I have been watching videos of Novak Djokovic practicing. Nadal is back on the court and I just don’t see what new dimensions. Federer can bring into his game to win Grand Slam titles at this stage of his career. Only if those two guys are at their best.” he added.

While recalling Federer ‘s five-set quarterfinal match at US Open 2019, Grigor said that Roger had to take medical timeouts and was tired while battling to Rusedski.

Reportedly, right now, Federer is not fully fit to make comeback to practice courts. Earlier in February, Roger also underwent knee surgery and decided to take a long pause from the professional tour. Meanwhile, coronavirus again proofs to be lucky to him for keeping him safe on number four as he gets extra time to recover.
