It’s Like I Have A Megaphone In My Hands: Novak Djokovic

Serbian legend Novak Djokovic will never be able to hang his tennis racket anytime soon. In addition, his victory on the Grand Slam courts does not conflict with high-level tennis in all his matches.

World Number 1 Djokovic has denied his age-old rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal numerous times from adding more Major titles to their name. Also, he’s one of the reasons why NextGen of tennis are failing to make their breakthrough on the Grand Slam stages.

“First of all, I must say that I am in a very privileged position and role. Someone who has had a lot of success in globally popular sports, to say something that is heard far away,” Novak said.

“It’s like I have a megaphone in my hands. There aren’t many athletes in that privileged position. I’ve earned it with my success and I’m grateful for it. It’s one of the reasons why I still play professional sports.”

“The biggest reason is that I love it I like to compete, and the second biggest is because I feel that the terrain in me causes a storm of emotions, which I can not experience anywhere else in such a short period of time,” he said.

In addition to tennis and his peerless competition on the professional tennis circuit, Novak is equally inclined to the healthcare sector. He is very involved and uses his platform effectively to spread awareness about mental and physical health.

“For me, besides sports, the most important topics are health and education,” he added.
