The organizers as well as the participating players have faced criticism from all ends. Ever since a large no. of people tested positive, after taking part in the Adria tour which is organized by tennis legend, Novak Djokovic.

American Tennis legend, Andy Roddick, also blasted on how the things were conducted.

However, when a fan tried to defend the tour reasoning that, ‘Serbia has no cases and that’s why any kind of prevention measures are an imposition.’ Roddick strongly and firmly disagreed with that.

According to Roddick, especially when the tournament has players from outside. Social distancing is a must and should have been imposed there. After a picture where all participants are having fun went viral, Andy started to comment. He said that the players were very close.

Andy replied when a fan said that he doesn’t say anything about US, where things are more serious. Bulgarian star Grigor Dimitrov and Croatian tennis player Borna Coric are two of the players who’ve been tested positive. Djokovic is now being criticized for the faulty implementation of social distancing regulations.

This has further contributed to tarnishing the reputation of tennis events which were looking towards an exhibition or even start tour-level tennis.

However, Djokovic said that the pandemic wasn’t as strong in Serbia and the tournament was following all the regulations has brushed away all the allegations.
