Indian fast-bowler Jasprit Bumrah tied the knot today with TV presenter and model Sanjana Ganesan in a private ceremony in Goa. There were rumors and reports about the impending wedding for quite some time now ever since Bumrah excused himself from the Indian squad for the fourth test against England and was also not named in the squad for the ongoing T20I series against the same nation.

Jasprit Bumrah took to social media today to announce the news of his wedding. He posted two pictures and wrote, ““Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.” Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you. Jasprit & Sanjana.” Sanjana also tweeted the same.

Soon after the news of the wedding, wishes have started pouring in for both Bumrah and Sanjana for their marriage from the cricketing fraternity. Here are a few such wishes.

On Bumrah’s Instagram post, Indian skipper Virat Kohli commented saying, “Congratulations and God bless you both. Much love.” Similarly, Hardik Pandya wrote, “Congratulations. Wishing you a healthy and happy married life.

Mumbai Indians, whom Jasprit Bumrah represents wished their ace pacer on his marriage on Twitter.

Suresh Raina was among the first to send in his wishes.

Sachin Tendulkar wished the couple all growth, success and happiness.

The official handle of the International Cricket Council (ICC) too congratulated the newly-weds.

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) franchise came up with a cheeky tweet to wish the couple stating that Maldives is great in April and May referring to the period when the IPL takes place.

Yuvraj Singh sent in his wishes and so did Harbhajan Singh.

Commentator Harsha Bhogle too wished the couple well.

Cheteshwar Pujara congratulated the couple on beginning their ‘special journey’.

Shreyas Iyer too congratulated Bumrah and his wife as did Yuzvendra Chahal.

Mayank Agarwal was one of the earliest to wish the two and in his haste, had tagged former Indian batting coach Sanjay Bangar instead of Sanjana Ganesan. He soon rectified his error by deleting his original tweet.
