The Philadelphia 76ers went head to head with the Boston Celtics earlier tonight. Two of the power house in the Eastern Conference really had a tough game. Although 76ers got the better of the Celtics defeating by 117-109, they game was intense. The rivalry between the teams to prove their dominance is really a gem of a fight. Both teams looked to strengthen their position but the war of words later gave a complete new end as Joel Embiid mocked Marcus Smart.

Joel Embiid was literally heated up after his powering 42-point performance. He was just unstoppable inside the paint. The massive wingspan has always helped him get a better room to his post movements and today was no different. Boston Celtics’ guard Marcus Smart also played his heart out yet the couldn’t get his team the precious points. Without Jason Tatum’s presence, the Celtics are really finding it hard.

As ‘Monster Embiid’ put a mammoth carcass trunk on the defensive end. Embiid alone made it 21 times to the free throw line while the Celtics had only 20 free throws in total. The excellent defense of 76ers gave a tough time to the Celtics offensively. Embiid came up responding to Marcus Smart’s comments calling him a ‘flopper’.

He said, “Marcus Smart just told me that I flail a lot? Come on. I’m sure he knows himself and he knows his game. You know he does a lot of that. The game is physical, other teams tend to try to be extra physical against me. And I guess I’m just smarter than everybody else…If you’re going to put your hand up there, I’m going to take advantage of it and I’m going to get to the free-throw line.”

The rise in tension between the teams have really ended Celtics in an awkward position. The game on Friday is really a decisive one. Hopefully 76ers continue their winning streak as the Boston will definitely look to get a piece of revenge back.
