After Khabib Nurmagomedov’s official retirement last week, the lightweight belt he held was vacated and now there is a change in the pound-for-pound rankings since the first place was being held by Khabib Nurmagomedov all these days. Jon Jones who was second in the list has moved to the number one spot, and Khabib’s name has been removed. And what’s more, Conor McGregor is back in the top 15 of the P4P rankings.

Apart from the pound-for-pound rankings, only the middleweight division saw some significant changes after the recent Derek Brunson vs Kevin Holland match.

Derek Brunson surges ahead!

There were no changes in the heavyweight, light-heavyweight, welterweight, bantamweight, flyweight, women’s pound-for-pound, women’s flyweight and women’s strawweight divisions.

In the middleweight division, Derek Brunson moved up three spots, breaking into the top 5 after his defeat of Kevin Holland. Following this Darren Till, Marvin Vettori and Jack Hermansson fell one spot each.

With the retirement of Khabib Nurmagomedov, the lightweight champion spot has been left blank, and it will take shape once the Charles Oliveira vs Michael Chandler fight, for the vacant lightweight title gets over (15th of May). The rest of the divisions have undergone just minor tweaks.
