Jurgen Klopp has admitted that signings will be made to bolster Liverpool next season and it will be interesting to see how things go out next season

While still denying the possibility of a squad rebuild, Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Liverpool will be making new signings in the summer. Previously he has taken the route of denying any and all transfer rumours and only spoke about it when it actually happened. Case in point is the Thiago saga when Liverpool was linked with the Bayern Munich midfielder all of summer. Jurgen Klopp kept denying all rumours, until Liverpool announced that they had signed the midfielder from Bayern.

This will be interesting to see Klopp’s demands to Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group

Previously Jurgen Klopp allowed the transfer committee to identify potential signings and the Liverpool management to sign them. Klopp has had his own targets, but he has never demanded them to be signed to the owners. It looks there will be a change this summer as he has openly admitted that there will be ‘fine adjustments’ to the squad. This could potentially mean that fringe players like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Divock Origi and even Xherdan Shaqiri could be moved on.

An exodus of players like Oxlade-Chamberlain, Origi, Shaqiri, Marko Grujic and other players like James Milner could generate money as well as free up wages for new signings. Liverpool have been linked with a plethora of players as Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Ibrahima Konate, Raphael Varane and David Alaba all being reported.

For once, this will be an interesting summer to watch for Liverpool Football Club as they openly declare that they want to make signings.
